Reserve, By Warner Hotels - Heythrop Park, Chipping Norton

I had a lovely retreat at this hotel during the Christmas season. The staff were warm and welcoming, making my stay a pleasant one. I was particularly impressed by the spa facilities and the dedication of the staff towards enhancing guest experiences. However, some guests faced challenges related to access and dining, which seemed to detract from their enjoyment. Overall, the grounds and service were highlights, but there were areas needing attention, especially for those with mobility issues.

The hotel offers beautiful grounds and a grand presence, which are highly enjoyable for leisurely strolls. However, the service at check-in could have been improved as it felt understaffed and a bit rushed. The room I stayed in lacked adequate lighting and was somewhat cramped, which detracted from the overall comfort. Dining options were a letdown, especially the breakfast, which didn’t meet expectations, although some appreciated the variety offered.

The hotel had appealing aspects like beautiful outdoor spaces and a relaxing spa atmosphere. However, the service and cleanliness left something to be desired, particularly in the dining area and pool facilities. The room comfort was satisfactory, but the overall experience was marred by some inconsistencies and cleanliness issues.

Heythrop Park Resort is set in stunning surroundings, with beautiful grounds that invite exploration. The staff were warm and accommodating, making the check-in process smooth. However, my dining experience left much to be desired, with slow service and inconsistent food quality. While the pool is accessible for relaxing, it's inconveniently located, requiring a walk outside. Overall, the combination of lovely exterior and friendly service is a plus, but the dining issues certainly detract from the experience.
